| At CSL, we teach that the way to Peace is through being the change. To support our regular practice of self-forgiveness and promote the growth of unconditional acceptance and compassion for ALL people, each week we participate in a Peace Practice as a community. The practice was inspired by Gandhi's quote, "be the change that you want to see in the world." The practice is as follows:
I am the Peace that I want to see.
I hold the Peace for my family.
I hold the Peace for my community.
My community holds the Peace for the World.
This year CSL will be participating in a year long “Peace Crane Project.” Throughout the year, CSL will invite in other congregations to come together, pray, meditate and chant and then to fold origami Peace Cranes. The goal is: 1,000 cranes that will then be hung as one enormous mobile from the center of the sanctuary. Everyone will be invited to be part of this meditative, peace focused project.
